Infertility in men

Male infertility is based on a number of dysfunctions of the male reproductive system and leads to:

• Impaired spermatogenesis, azoospermia (lack of sperm in semen), poor sperm quality and motility.
• Full necrospermia — no traffic and no sperm viability.

Myo-inositol

A sperm-building block: 100 g of sperm contains 53 mg of myo-inositol.

Quatrefolic® (4th generation folate)

The critical role of folic acid has been observed in infertile men. Folic acid deficiency is associated with a decreasing volume of semen and decreasing sperm motility.

For the biologically inactive form of folic acid to be absorbed by the body and then used in complex biochemical processes, it must first be transformed in the process of enzymatic reactions to the active form, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate.

In this process a key role is played by the enzyme 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR). The MTHFR gene is responsible for the proper formation of the enzyme. In Europe 30–40% of the population have a genetic mutation (C677T polymorphism) significantly reducing the activity of the MTHFR enzyme. A relation between the MTHFR gene mutation and male infertility was also observed.

Quatrefolic® has a 100 times higher solubility in water than the L-5-calcium methyl tetra-hydrofolate (Metafolin® by Merck). It is also extremely stable in aqueous solutions like FertoWish. Thanks to the above, Quatrefolic® can be fully absorbed and utilised by the organism.

Quatrefolic® solves the problem of the conversion of folic acid into an active form of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, offering a ready-to-be-absorbed, biologically active form of folic acid irrespective of a possible MTHFR gene mutation.

L-arginine

L-arginine is a nitric oxide precursor in the human body. It plays a major role in the treatment of infertility and erectile dysfunctions in men by increasing the sex drive; facilitating erection by improving the blood supply to the male reproductive organs; increasing tissue oxygenation; and positively affecting the quality of sperm and sperm motility.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E deficiency contributes to fertility disorders in men. In the process of spermatogenesis, low-quality, low-motility or tail-deprived sperm is formed. The deficiency also contributes to enlargement of the prostate and impotence as a result.

Vitamin E has strong antioxidant properties and prevents infertility.

Selenium

The place of accumulation of large amounts of selenium are male reproductive glands in which semen is produced. Hence its vital role: necessary due to the process of sperm maturation (presence of selenoproteins — PHGPx); it has a protective and regulatory function in the process of spermatogenesis; and as a part of the mitochondrial sheath, it ensures sperm viability and motility.

Zinc

Helps maintain normal fertility and reproductive functions: it contributes to the normal level of testosterone in the blood; takes part in the process of spermatogenesis; is involved in the synthesis of DNA and RNA and the production of seed; and has a positive effect on the synthesis of male hormones.

Tribulus terrestris extract

Protodioscin contained in the extract is converted to DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone), which in turn increases erection and increases sexual activity, enhancing the sexual experience.

Studies confirmed a positive effect on the level of testosterone and spermatogenesis, an increase in the number of spermatogonia, spermatocytes and spermatids, and an increase in sperm viability.
